Following the easing of lockdown measures in England from Saturday 4 July, the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has published Site Operating Procedures V5.
This guidance is intended to introduce consistent measures on construction sites of all types and sizes in line with the Government’s guidelines on social distancing. This version covers the ‘one metre +’ social distancing guidelines, which require workers to stay two metres apart, or one metre, where two metres is not viable, while taking all the mitigating actions possible to reduce the risk of transmission. V5 also includes updates on a few other areas, including when to travel to work and the latest peak times for public transport. Construction sites operating during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic need to ensure they are protecting their workforce and minimising the risk of the spread of infection.
