CITB to update Health, Safety & Environment Test

The CITB has announced more improvements to the Health, Safety and Environment Test.

The CITB has announced more improvements to the Health, Safety and Environment Test as from the 26 June 2019.

The Health, Safety and Environment Test is a requirement when applying for CSCS Cards.

All versions of the test have been reviewed and where applicable the questions have been updated to keep up with current legislation.  The Operatives test in particular will have a substantial update to better reflect the range of day to day tasks and responsibilities an Operative has on-site.

In the revised test candidates will have one section of questions, rather than two, as behavioural case studies and accompanying questions will be taken out. However, behavioural elements will be incorporated into many of the 50 test questions. Candidates will still have 45 minutes to answer the 50 questions.

With one section of questions the score will be easier to understand and with the new scoring, the pass mark for the Operatives’ test will be 45 out of 50.

The CITB will be making updated revision material available from 15 May 2019.
