ATaC, the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association, is pleased to announce attendance at the Contamination Expo Series 2016 to be held on 12-13 October at ExCel London.

This year is the launch of the Contamination Expo Series held in association with the Environment Agency. The exhibition will bring together solutions to contamination across six sectors, including hazardous materials.

“Our presence at the first Contamination Expo offers us the opportunity to communicate how we and our members can support those who are responsible for managing the risks from asbestos in premises and the ground,” commented Stephen Platkiw, the Association’s Manager.

“ATaC provides the RSPH Ofqual qualifications for asbestos surveyors and analysts, as well as asbestos management for duty holders. It is crucial for duty holders, such as property owners and facility managers, to understand their legal duties and responsibilities for managing asbestos in buildings. This is for the health and safety of all workers and the general public.”

James Ashwood, of Contamination Expo Series, stated, “We are delighted to have the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy Association on board, as we will be able to work with them to communicate when to consulate a surveyor and how to safely manage the risk of asbestos in all buildings, whether that be a school, hospital or businesses premises, as well as in the land.”

Entrance to the exhibition will be free (tickets can be ordered online) and will feature free to attend seminars, over 100 hours of accredited CPD, networking areas and the exhibition show floor will be filled with companies offering products, solutions and expertise in cleaning up or preventing contamination.
