Who is it for?
Individuals who work for licensed asbestos removal contractors who have the responsibility to create a site specific 'Plan of Work' for licensed removal works to take place.
Aims
To identify and manage risks in relation to asbestos removal activities and general Health and Safety on site and be able to utilise the information / assessments to produce an
effective Site Specific Plan of Work that is suitable and sufficient.

Introduction - Background to risk assessments and why
they are required.
Principles of risk assessment - The expected outcome is that the candidate
understands the reasons for using risk; assessment and the principles involved.
Legislation - The expected outcome is that the candidate becomes aware of the range of legal
requirements for risk assessment, understands the key aspects and the necessity to seek guidance on specific requirements.
Risk assessment in practice - The expected outcome is that the candidate links the theoretical knowledge obtained to practical examples of workplaces and activities.
Constructing a Plan of Work from a Risk Assessment - The expected outcome is that the candidate understands how risk assessments are used
